Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as an API call?
One REST API request or one MCP tool invocation. Both count against the same quota.
Do unused calls roll over?
The Paid tier has no included quota to roll over — you're billed for exactly what you use each month. Evaluation tier doesn't reset either — its 250 calls are a one-time allotment for the life of the account.
Can I switch tiers?
Yes, upgrade anytime by adding a card. Changes take effect immediately.
What happens if I exceed my limit?
Evaluation tier: If you already added a card to your account, you're automatically converted to the paid plan once you exceed 250 calls — no interruption. If you haven't added a card, requests are blocked with a message asking you to enter one to continue. Paid tier: There is no limit to exceed — every call is billed at $0.05, uninterrupted. If your usage sustains above 5,000 calls in a billing period, we'll reach out once to talk about an Enterprise arrangement; your billing and access are unaffected either way.
How do I check my usage?
Use the GET /api/v1/platform/usage endpoint to see your current consumption at any time.
Is there a free trial for the Paid plan?
The evaluation tier is your trial. Start building, and add a card when you need more capacity.
Can I evaluate the API without a credit card?
Yes — that's the default. Signing up for the evaluation tier never requires a card; you get your 250 free calls right away. You can optionally add a card later if you want a seamless upgrade once you exceed the limit, but it's never required to get started.
